Directly next to Hamburg's main train station, the Kreative Gesellschaft transformed a former commercial center into a cultural hub. It was called Jupiter, and up there, HMV had an entire floor where they built a space for events, parties, and new connections.
Personally, it was a whole chapter of my life. I accepted a job there and ended up spending two years inside that building. The place was constantly changing and evolving, hosting new and incredibly diverse events. And not just our floor, but the entire building. Every floor was managed differently. There were galleries, a café, shops representing different cultural backgrounds, it was a great mix of things.
I'm sure a lot of people still miss this unique environment right in the city center. And I mean it, I still remember the faces of many regular visitors who would arrive when we opened and stay until the very end, many days a week.
It was quite a ride to document it from beginning to end, as well as to gain all the knowledge and experience that came with working there.
A couple of months after we closed, my friend and great artist Johanna created a memorial exhibition about the place. It was called "Zwischen Nutzung" and took place at Studio 45C. Was really nice to check it out and collaborate with some pictures I took.
the rest is history
